Xperia Z5 Premium Camera
The Sony Xperia Z5 camera is as large as 23MP and it comes with a range of resolutions to choose from within. As a smartphone photography enthusiast and a user of the Z5 Premium, let me share a little on how to use the Z5 Premium camera.
The camera app gives you the options to capture in Superior Auto mode or Manual mode. For Xperia, we can hardly use the manual mode as it limits us in many ways of taking photographs. First of all, we are free to choose any resolution we want.
When using Superior auto, the range of resolution we can choose from are 8MP with an aspect ratio (16:9), 8MP with an aspecct ratio (4:3), 20MP with an aspect ratio (16:9) and finally, the highest resolution, 23MP with an aspect ratio (4:3).
Superior auto is about automatic detection for shooting modes. For examples, Macro mode, Sports mode, and Low-light mode. Based on what is detected, the setting will be adjusted automatically which will ease our shooting.
Suitable lighting is very important in taking photographs. Lighting helps the camera to focus on the object better. Under some conditions, there may be lacking in lighting and it causes difficulties to focus on the object. With this setting as shown above in the picture, the setting for color and brightness, it comes in handy during those time. This setting enables us to control the brightness as well as the color for the photo, either warmer or colder.
As for the Manual mode, there are larger range of resolutions to choose from. In manual mode, the resolutions available are 2MP with an aspect ratio (16:9), 3MP with an aspect ratio (4:3), 8MP with an aspect ratio (16:9), 8MP with an aspect ratio (4:3), 20MP with an aspect ratio (16:9), 23MP with an aspect ratio (4:3).
Before pressing the capture button, we can adjust the ISO and the Exposure Compensation to have nice photos. For the Z5 Premium, the lowest the ISO can go is 50 and the highest it can go is 3200. For the ISO setting, only with the resolution of 8MP and below are able to use it. 20MP and 23MP are automated for the ISO setting.
In manual mode, there are scenes selection. We can make our selection based on the scene we're going for. For this feature, only 8MP and below are able to use it.
Sony placed a shutter button at the bottom left side of the phone, which is next to the volume button. It gives off the digital camera feels. The shutter button is very useful in taking photographs. It can directly open the camera app with a long click, which makes it convenient to start up the camera anytime we want. As it is placed next to the volume button, it makes zooming and shooting possible together as it is within of reach of our index finger. This kinda makes us feel like a professional photographer doesn't it?
Aside from normal shooting, we can also go for other modes such as recording and so on. Some of the external apps can be downloaded from Play Store. Another interesting about the Z5 Premium is its capability to record 4K videos.
