Can The M5 Survives Underwater?

The Xperia M5 is a waterproof smartphone but the question is, can it survives underwater?

The results came out disappointing as it was damaged after it was used underwater. The phone is supposed to be able withstand underwater not more than 1.5m deep for 30 minutes. 

Before, I've used it underwater but its fine. There's no damages shown but I was unfortunate the second time I immersed it underwater though I only immersed from time to time with a total of 15 minutes altogether (not continuously). 

The first sign that appeared was the left-side of the screen panel gone darker and as time goes on, the water spread inside and slowly damaged the other components. At first I was still oblivious as to what had happened as it was unexpected.

Later I was only able to confirm the damages through the Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI) which was located beside the SIM Card slot. It seems that the water went in through the cover for microSD  Card located on the left side.

The LED light turned on by itself and its blue colour. Left-side screen panel is darker. Water appearance can be seen.
