The Bye Bye Man movie Review

The film is a horror/thriller genre. Here is what I can say about the film. The progression of the plot is very slow. For a thriller, I say this is among the lowest group. Reason is the ghost doesn't really exposed much except for its shadow from the beginning till the middle. Only at its climax you'll be able to see Bye Bye Man's face. The ghost, Bye Bye Man, has a partner, some kind of dog like creature, a haunt. Basically the film is about hallucinations. The more you fear, the stronger the Bye Bye Man gets. That is why along the film you'll hear, “don't think it, don't say it”. Something like that lah. The ending isn't interesting. There's a few fright or shock scenes but I am not shocked at all except for one of the scene which is the ghost suddenly makes its appearance from the shadow of the coat. I was really shocked by that because Bye Bye Man suddenly came out from it. It had shown the scene of the coat before that but there's nothing there. That's the only scene that I've put my guard down whereas the other scenes can already make expectations for its appearance. Overall, I rate this movie 3.5/10
